My name is Eli Hanel and I am in my fourth year as a secondary English educator and super excited to get started. I love to read in my free time, now I know what you are thinking, but I read a lot more than novels. I love to read manga and graphic novels, they transport me to another world and make it fun to read about new experiences. When it comes to writing, I used to be fascinated in trying to write a zombie apocalypse story, but was always too ambitious. Recently, I have been writing in my journal to keep my sanity and keep me focused on school. Most of the writing in my free time is on paper and when it comes to school or work, I prefer typing, plus it acts as a proofreading tool. I sometimes create Tik Tok's with my friends, it usually is some type of skit or sketch comedy but always just for fun. I knew back in middle school and early high school I wanted to be a teacher. For a while, I was going to be a math teacher, which was not my style. Then a love for reading and writing began in my senior year of high school. I never looked back since that day. As for helping writers, I have some experience helping my friends proof read and edit their papers, but this type of tutoring is new for me. I really want to give it my all through providing the best guidance and mentorship I can. My goal with whoever is to create a welcoming environment for writers of all levels so they feel comfortable and able to express themselves through multiple forms of media. As for more about my non-professional stuff, I really like playing video games. Lately, I have been playing Fortnite and Bloodborne. I am also an avid NBA fan. I love to watch the NY Knicks play and of course the Bucks. Another thing you should know is I am very open and like to go with the flow of things. Its a skill I have acquired recently and it has been making my life so much simpler.

ReplyDeleteIt's nice to meet you again and again. I also enjoy the Bucks, but only recently since I moved to Milwaukee 2-and-a-half years ago. I see you put a Fiona Apple album on your collage--I love her! My favorites are Love Ridden and Under the Table. I know you will be great at helping others with their writing because I've already seen your powerful insight in other classes.

ReplyDeleteNice post! Glad to see you play Fortnite, it's definitely super fun, I am personally a huge fan. The toad with the Dr. Pepper was really the cherry on top of your collage. Along with the reuben, that's also a great touch.
